DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Jean T. Riesberg, 51, of Dyersville, died Monday, June 17, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dyersville, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m., and a Catholic Order of Foresters rosary at 5 p.m.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1951, in Moline, Ill., daughter of Charles and Bernice (Vander Meersch) Termont. She married Roger Riesberg on March 3, 1973, in Dubuque.

Jean established, owned and operated Database Plus, where she pioneered the computer industry in Dyersville. She enjoyed spending time with her family and camping.

She was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters, National Association of College Stores, VAR-Business Advisory Board, Bear Creek Council of Arts, St. Francis Xavier Liturgy Committee, and Campus Computer Resellers Alliance. She was the "Top Dealer" with the Red Wing Business Systems, started Bear Creek Council of the Arts, and organized and ran the Arts and Crafts Show for several years.

Surviving are her husband, Roger; three sons, Matthew (Angela) Riesberg, of Dubuque, Joseph (Sara) Riesberg, of Ankeny, and Edward Riesberg, of Dyersville; two grandchildren, Therese and Aaron Riesberg; her parents, Charles and Bernice Termont, of Dubuque; two brothers, Dave (Donna) Termont, of Woodbury, Minn., and Steve (Pam) Termont-Schenk, of Beachmere, Queensland, Australia; a sister, Rita (Fred) Cubbage, of Apex, N.C.; and a special friend, Carolyn Clover Olberding, of Dyersville.
