DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Lorraine J. Pins, 81, of Dyersville, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish scripture service at 5 p.m.

She was born on April 13, 1917, in New Vienna, daughter of John and Ann (Willenbring) Schlichte.

She married Sylvester Heying in 1940; he died in 1952. She married Mark Pins in 1955; he died in 1989.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for more than 40 years.

Surviving are a son, Ambrose (Diane) Heying, of Bellevue, Neb.; a daughter, Doris (Vincent) Drees, of Freeport, Ill.; four grandchildren, Sherry (Steve) Bell, of Naperville, Ill., Jeff (Amy) Drees, of Somonouk, Ill., Lisa (Brad) Carlson, of Davis, Ill., and Michelle (Rick) Souerdyke, of Bruning, Neb.; five great-grandchildren, Wesley, Jacob and Hannah Drees and Kayla and Alyssa Carlson; four brothers, Clarence (Julia) Schlichte, of Manchester, Joe (Germaine) Schlichte and Alvin (Mildred) Schlichte, both of Dyersville, and Bernard (Ardella) Schlichte, of Earlville; a sister, Verna Klostermann, of Dyersville; and a sister-in-law, Alma (Tony) Willenborg, of Dyersville.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Schlichte; and a brother-in-law, Art Klostermann.
