DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Wilfred C. Pasker, 88, of Dyersville, died Wednesday,

May 22, 2013, at his home surrounded by family.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Raymond Burkle and the Rev. Noah Diehm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where a vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. and American Legion Post 137 services will be at 7 p.m. Friends also may call from 9 to

10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wilfred was born on Feb. 11, 1925, in Colesburg, son of William and Cecilia (Fangman) Pasker.

He married Dolores Platten on July 10, 1952, in Colesburg. Together they lived in Dyersville, where he worked as a plasterer and mason.

Wilfred enjoyed playing cards, the Chicago Cubs and watching classic TV.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores; four sons, Dale, Marvin (Jane) and Brian (Lois), all of Dyersville, and Bruce, of Waukee; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret (Jerome) Vondran, of Galena, Ill.; in-laws, Florella Burkle, of Farley, Mary (Ralph) Vaske, Jeanette (William) Digmann and Roger Platten, all of Dyersville, George (Judy) Platten, of Colesburg, and Bernadine (William) Koelker, of Nevada, Iowa.

He also was preceded in death by a son, David H. Pasker, in 2010; his parents, William and Cecilia Pasker; siblings, Alfred, Leander, Clarence (Agnes) and Anthony (Sally) Pasker, Evelyn (Henry) Kruse, Matilda (Clement) Niehaus and Catherine (Walter) Kruse; mother- and father-in-law, Henry and Florentine Platten; and a brother-in-law, Arnold Burkle.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
