DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- David H. Pasker, 56, of Dyersville, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Iowa City, after a short battle with cancer.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Raymond Burkle officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137 after services. Private family burial will be held at a later date in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 5 p.m. Friends also may call from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born on June 27, 1954, in Dyersville, son of Wilfred and Dolores (Platten) Pasker. He graduated from Beckman High School with the class of 1972.

David served in the Air Force from 1973 to 1977. After his service, he attended Loras College and managed several retail businesses throughout his career.

David loved to golf, bowl and play cards.

Surviving are his parents, Wilfred and Dolores Pasker, of Dyersville; four brothers, Dale, Marvin (Jane) and Brian (Lois), all of Dyersville, and Bruce (Jodi), of Mitchellville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Cecilia Pasker and Henry and Florentine Platten.
