DELAWARE, Iowa - Kristi L. Nurre, 24, of 310 Washington St., Delaware, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at her home in Delaware.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Reiff Funeral Home, 490 Field of Dreams Way, Dyersville, with Deacon Frederick Pins officiating. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Kristi was born on Feb. 27, 1987, in Dyersville, daughter of Daniel Nurre and Linda (Steffen) Nurre. She was a graduate of Maquoketa Valley High School. She also graduated from Northeast Iowa Community College, Peosta, with an associates degree in accounting.

She was employed at Pizza Hut in Manchester.

Kristi was a wonderful daughter, sister and granddaughter and was always there for her family, with a big smile. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandparents and playing with her dogs.

Surviving are her parents, Daniel Nurre, of Dyersville, and Linda Nurre, of Sparks, Nev.; three sisters, Jennifer Nurre, of Oklahoma, Kim and Melissa Nurre, both of Dyersville; a special friend, Alan Palmersheim; her grandparents, Ralph and Lillian Nurre, of Dyersville, and Vivian Steffen, of Dubuque; and aunts and uncles, Dennis and Karen Nurre and Daryl and Rosie Nurre, all of Dyersville, Diane and Lonnie Osbourne, of Coal Valley, Ill., Debra and Brian Greenwood, of Epworth, Doris and Kevin Metz, of Cedar Rapids, Diane and Pete Breitbach, of Dubuque, Mark and Elizabeth Steffen, of Las Vegas, Pat and Anne Steffen, of Appleton, Wis., and Brenda and Keith Hoefler, of New Vienna.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Donald Steffen.

A Kristi L. Nurre Memorial Fund has been established.
