DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- Daniel J. Nurre, 50, of Dyersville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, as the result of a car accident.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Noah Diehm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a vigil service at 4 p.m.

Surviving are his three daughters, Jennifer (Jared Manuel) Butler, of Anadarko, Okla., Kim Nurre, of Cedar Falls, and Melissa Nurre, of Platteville, Wis.; parents, Ralph and Lillian Nurre; and siblings, Dennis (Karen) Nurre, of Dyersville, Daryl (Rosie) Nurre, of Petersburg, his twin, Diane (Lonnie) Osbourne, of Rock Island, Ill., and Debra (Brian) Greenwood, of Epworth.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi L. Nurre, on Sept. 11, 2011; and his grandparents, Clem and Rose Nurre and George and Millie Werner.
