Mrs. George Lyman
Mrs. George Lyman, 58, lifelong Manchester resident, died at the Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Saturday morning, of a cerebral hemorhage suffered Friday night.
Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at the Shelly Funeral home, with the Rev. J.F. Hutchenson officiating. Burial was in the Oakland cemetery.
Mrs. Lyman was born Alice Grace Reisner on March 29, 1895, the daughter of Daisy Mae Webber Reisner and Charles F. Reisner in Manchester. She attended Manchester schools and was graduated from the Manchester high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college.
On December 24, 1921 she was married to George Lyman at Manchester.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church, Orient chaper of the O.E.S. Joppa White Shrine, and the Prairie Center grange.
She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Duane Schiess of Manchester; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Lusk of Dundee, and Mrs. Emily Steffen of Dubuque; one brother, John V. Reisner of Dubuque; two grandchildren, Susan Elaine and Gregory Lyman Schiess; and several nieces, nephew and other relatives.
Mrs. Lyman was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marilyn Mae; and one sister and three brothers.
