Lyman
Miss Martha S. Lyman, a highly esteemed lady and resident of Manchester for the last thirty-five years expired Monday morning at her home in North Manchester, the funeral being held yesterday afternoon from her late residence.
Miss Lyman was born at Waybridge, Vermont, September 27, 1825, and her entire life has been that of a conscientious Christian and the world is better for her having lived in it. Those who knew her feel the influence of her worthy life and many good examples.
She leaves one brother, Chester W. Lyman, who resides southwest of the city and one sister (Sarah P.) with whom she made her home. Three nieces and five nephews to whom she had endeared herself by her gentle manners and loving attention also mourn the separation her death enforces.
Many attended the funeral to pay their respects to the memory of a good woman and true Christian. Rev. H.W. Tuttle conducted the services.
