Mrs. Archie Lyman
Mrs. Archie (Blanche Starbird) Lyman, 67, passed away at her home here Thursday at 10 p.m.,death terminating an illness of four years.
Mrs. Lyman had been a Manchester resident during 51 years of her life and a Delaware county resident during the entire 67 year span.
She had for many years been a dressmaker. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern star here. Mrs. Lyman was a charter member of the L.A.L. club here.
Blanche Starbird was born on March 12, 1886 near Earlville, the daughter of Philip M. and Elizabeth Rowe Starbird. She was educated in the Manchester public schools and on June 14,1920 was united in marriage with Archie Lyman at Cedar Rapids.
Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gill Funeral home, the Rev. Joseph Hutchinson officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, four sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Inez) Hillier, Mrs. Charles (Edna) Zirtzman, Mrs. Alice Arnold and Mrs. William F. (Julia) Hoag, all of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lyman was preceded in death by her parents.
