Funeral Mass for Henry J. Makovec, 93, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene with burial to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Makovec, who was born in Dyersville, Iowa, died Tuesday. He was a longtime Coeur d'Alene area resident and worked as a pipe fitter at Kaiser Aluminum in Spokane until retiring in 1971.

Mr. Makovec was a member of St.Thomas Catholic Church and the Coeur d'Alene Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; a son, Jim Makovec of Coeur d'Alene; two daughters, Barbara Crnkovich of Spokane and Margaret Elyard of Post Falls; two sisters; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
