A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Park Hill Cemetery for Grace Robison Houtz, who died Thursday, June 4, 1998, in a Vancouver nursing home. She was 93.
Mrs. Houtz was born June 26, 1904, in Greely, Iowa. Her maiden name was Robison.
She was a school teacher in Idaho from the early 1920s to 1937, when she moved to Vancouver.
She and her husband owned and operated the Mode O'Day clothing store on Main Street for 27 years.
Mrs. Houtz was a member of First Christian Church and the Hobby Club.
She enjoyed reading and raising raspberries and tomatoes.
Mrs. Houtz was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E., in 1992.
Survivors include three nieces, Mary Einck of Bettendorf, Iowa, Martha Zieser of Manchester, Iowa, and Lois May of Greenfield, Iowa; six nephews, Dwight Langland of Golden, Colo., Marc Langland of Anchorage, Alaska, Roger Langland of Columbia, Mo., Charles Langland of Houston, Gary Rees of San Diego and Don Rees of Robins, Iowa.
