John G. Smith of Eden Township

I am researching the John G. SMITH (b. 1842) family of Eden Township, Decatur, IA. I find this family in the U.S. census of that township in the 1870, 1880, 1900 and 1910 census reports and John is in the 1920 living with son Isaac R. They are also in the IA state census of 1885 and John is in the 1925. There seems to be confusion on his wife's name and birth date. Her name varies as Evaline, or Emeline or Unity C. or Unity E. (I thought at first there were different wives, but after a couple of census with her name listed as "Evaline", then "Unity" for the next couple, it returns to "Emeline". Her age jumps all over the place. Apparently her maiden name is ROBISON as her mother is listed in the 1900 census as living with them. Does anyone have more information on this lady? I cannot find an obituary or listing in a cemetery or any marriage information. Any help would be most appreciated!
