JOHN HARVEY MORGAN was born in Muskingum County, near Dresden, Ohio, February 29, l848, and peacefully passed away at his home in the country near Leon Tuesday morning, March 29, l92l, aged 73 years and l month.

He was married November 22, l879, to MISS FLORENCE REED, at Leon. They resided at Akron, Mo., for two years, later removing to the vicinity of Leon where he spent the rest of his life. He had been an invalid for several years and was confined to his home for many months before the Death Angel brought him a release from his sufferings.

He leaves to mourn, one brother, WASHINGTON MORGAN, of Bethany, Mo., two sisters, MRS. LOU EVING, of Westerville, Ia., and MRS. MINA POLAY, of Bethany, Mo., besides his faithful and devoted wife. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

He united with the Presbyterian Church at Akron, Mo., later transferring his membership to the church at Leon, where he was a faithful attendant for many years until failing health made this impossible. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Decatur City. He was a man of sterling Christian character and will be sadly missed in the community where he lived for so many years. The funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church by the Pastor, Rev. T.F. Campbell.
