WILLIAM CLOSSON CAMPBELL was born near Leon, Iowa, July 26, l877, died at his home, 4030 8th St. Place, Des Moines, Iowa, Jan. 27, l92l, aged 43 years, 6 months and one day.

His death came after an illness of nine weeks, caused from complications of diseases.

He was united in marriage to MISS EMMA MAE VIRDEN, Dec. 25, l90l. To this union three children were born, all of whom with their mother, survive. They are MAUDE, aged l8; GERALDINE, aged l3; and little LEOLA, aged l0. Besides his wife and three girls, two brothers, S.M. CAMPBELL of Osborn, Mo., and J.C. CAMPBELL of Leon, Iowa; also two sisters, MRS. SARAH MUSE, Weldon, Iowa and MRS. MARY NEWMAN, Wauneta, Wyoming, who also survive.

In the year l909, the family moved from Pleasanton to Des Moines, where MR. CAMPBELL was an employee of the Government in the Des Moines Post Office, and there they have since made their home. The last nine years were spent in Highland Park where they have a large circle of friends.

Early in life he converted and became a member of the Presbyterian Church at Leon, Iowa. After his removal to Highland Park, he became a member of the Highland Park Church of Christ of which he was a faithful member at the time of his death. The funeral services were held at the Highland Park Church of Christ, Sunday, Jan. 30, l92l, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Bro. H.W. Hunter, Pastor, also Masonic Order. Music by mixed double quartet. The remains were laid to rest in the Glendale Cemetery in the Masonic Plot. He was also a member of the K. of P. Lodge. The sympathy of the whole community go out to the bereaved family.
