MISS KATHERIN ALYWARD was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, about thrity-seven years ago. She came to America and Silverton in l90l. She was married to MR. WILLIAM MULLIN, during the latter part of l906. Her married life was a useful one. She was the mother of seven children, five of whom survive her. Two children preceded her to her last home several years ago. Four daughters, one son, her husband, one brother and an uncle and a large circle of friends mourn her passing here in Silverton. Her life in Silverton was one of the bright spots in a large circle of friends. Her constant cheerfulness was a blessing to many. Her devotion to her husband and family was beautiful. Her interest in her church and many friends was an inspiration.
A large number of friends paid their respects at her funeral, many flowers were offered and the rites of her church were given in a solemn manner. A fitting tribute to her life and usefulness was paid by Rev. Father Macauley. Her remains were placed at rest in Hillside Cemetery.
