Thursday, December 30, l920PETER F. BRADLEY, son of CHARLES and BRIDGET BRADLEY, was born in Derry County, Ireland, December 27, l854, and departed this life December 23rd, l920. Funeral services were held at St. Brendan's Church Monday, December 27th, conducted by Father Maher, after which interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery southeast of Leon. Thus ends a busy and useful life.
MR. BRADLEY's father died when he was about two years old and he made his home with an uncle until he was fifteen years old. When he started out on life's journey alone, going to England, where he stayed two years, then came to the United States, making his home in New York State for three years. Having saved enough money, he went to school at South Bend, Indiana, where he graduated as an optician, and entered into the practice of his profession. He came to Decatur County in l880, where he has ever since claimed his home.
December 29th, l884, he married HANNAH B. GROGAN, who, with three children, DR. WILLIAM C., now practicing in North Dakota; MIDA E., Professor of Music in the Leon Schools, and MABEL FLORENCE, accomplished pianist and violinist, are left to mourn his departure.
MR. BRADLEY also had one sister. (There appears to be a section missing here..)
in it, and while its pleasure were yet sweet to him, he was called to the Great Beyond. May Heaven's richest blessings be ever his reward for a life well lived.
