MRS. ELLA C. ZIKA was born in Greene County, Iowa, August ll, l883, and died at her home in Shenandoah, Iowa, November 25, l920, after a short illness, at the age of 37 years, 3 months and l3 days. When four years old she went with her parents to Des Moines, living there until l3 years of age. Then, with her parents, she moved to Decatur County where she grew to womanhood. She was converted into the Christian faith and was united with the Methodist Church of which she has been a constant follower. She taught school for six years until her marriage to FRED ZIKA, December 24, l908. To this union were born five children, the oldest of whom passed to the great beyond six years ago at the age of three years.

She leaves a husband and four children, GERALD, KEITH, VENITA and VERA ZIKA, her mother, MRS. WILLIAMSON, and two sisters, MRS. LAURA TOMS, of Leon, and MRS. MARTHA JUBB, of Des Moines, and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her death. She was always a cheerful wife and kind and loving mother. Many friends attended the funeral to pay their last tribute to the one whom they loved. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at l:30 at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Jervis. Interment was in the Leon Cemetery.
