LAURA ELLEN AKES, youngest daughter of MR. and MRS. W.P. AKES, was born March 2l, l893, and died February 7, l920, being at the time of her death, 27 years, l0 months and l4 days of age. She was united in marriage to WILLIAM NEGLEY, October 3, l9ll. To this union were born two children, OPAL IRENE, aged seven years and PAUL FREDERICK, aged nine months. She leaves to mourn her death a husband and two small children, an aged father and mother, two brothers and four sisters, two brothers and two sisters having preceded her to the great world beyond. ELLEN lived her entire life in Decatur County where she leaves a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, February l0th, at l0:30, conducted by Rev. E.C. Vanderpool. Interment was in Palestine Cemetery.
