DELLA LURENA PERDUE, daughter of J.R. and OLAITA PERDUE, was born near Leon, Iowa, January ll, l879. She was married to WM. G. WALLER on February 2nd, l905. To this union four children were born: WILMA IRENE, JAMES WILFORD, HELEN PAULINE and WILLIAM HAROLD. After a lingering illness of several months, she departed this life on December 24, l9l9, aged 40 years, ll months and l3 days.

Her whole life was spent on a farm east of Leon and through the entire vicinity she was loved by all. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, four children, father, J.R. PERDUE, of Lambert, Oklahoma, one sister, MRS. W.O. BEAVERS, of Leon, Iowa, three brothers WILLIAM, of Sewall, Iowa; RALPH and RAYMOND of Martensdale, Ia.; aged father and mother-in-law, MR. and MRS. T.W. WALLER, of Leon, and a host of relatives and friends. A large concourse of mourners from the country numbering eighteen cars and bringing eighty persons, followed the remains to the M.E. Church where services were held, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. A.E. Jervis. The interment was made in the Leon Cemetery.
