CHARLES RICHARD BOEGER, son of CARL and ANNA BOEGER, was born at Petersburg, Ill., January ll, l855, and died September 4, l9l9, being hurt in an auto accident. His age was 64 years, 7 months and 24 days. He came with his parents to New Buda in his first year. He was the oldest of five children. When he was about eight years old, his father died. His mother died six years ago.

MR. BOEGER was married, October l2, l879, to JANE JONES. They have two children, MILES and HERMA BOEGER. These with two grandchildren, one sister, MRS. KLINE, of Weldon, and one brother, E.A. BOEGER, of Washington, D.C., are left of the near relatives.

MR. BOEGER had been living on his farm two and one-half miles south of Davis City since l88l, and spent his life in that community. He was a well known and highly respected citizen. The sad accident by which MR. BOEGER came to his death, came as a shock to the whole community. The funeral services were held at the home at 2:30 p.m., September 7, l9l9, where a large assembly of friends, neighbors and acquaintances gathered with the family and relatives. The services were conducted by Wm. J. Campbell, of the Church of Christ. The body was buried in the new cemetery at Davis City under the auspices of the Odd-Fellows.
