CHARLES WOODARD was born near Burlington, Iowa, December 7, l858, and departed this life at Billings, Montana, December 2l, l9l6. The deceased with his parents, moved to Decatur County in the year l868, where he spent the remainder of his days on a farm. He was married in l886 to SARAH HEMBRY, who preceded his death in the year l894. Three children were born to this union, two boys and one girl, WARREN WOODARD, who died in the year l909; MRS. ADDA HAVEN and FRED WOODARD, both of Decatur, Iowa, who with five brothers and one sister are left to mourn his death.

The funeral was conducted from the Christian Church, Wednesday, December 27, l9l6, by Henry Esch, of Leon, Iowa. Interment was at the Decatur Cemetery.
