MYRIAH ELIZABETH GOBLE FITCH was born in Wisconsin, March l5, l86l, and departed this life November l9, l9l6, being at the time of her death 55 years, 8 months and 4 days old.

She left home in her usual good health to visit a few days with her son, WALTER, where she was stricken with a stroke of paralysis and lingered only three days.

She was the daughter of JOHN and BARBARA GOBLE and in l864 she came with her parents to Decatur County, Iowa.

She was married to JOHN FITCH, October ll, l877. To this union were born ten children of which three preceded her to the Great Beyond, leaving the father and seven children to mourn their loss of wife and mother. The children are CLARENCE, HARVE, JAMES, WALTER, SIMON F. HARLEY and DON K. FITCH and NELLIE DAVIS, all of near Davis City, and LOLA ELLEN DAVIS, of Sterling, Colorado. All were present at her bedside at the time of her death. She also leaves an aged mother, one half-brother, JOHN SLY, of Lamoni, and one half-sister, LENA ROBERTS, of Elgin, Oregon, and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Bethel Baptist Church in l889 of which she has been a member ever since.

Funeral services were conducted at Bethel Church by Rev. Dale, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery to await the morning of the resurrection.
