Thursday, September l4, l9l6MRS. W.A. MOORE, who resides southeast of Leon, was kicked by a colt last Monday morning in a pasture at the MOORE home and so badly injured that her death occurred at four o'clock on Tuesday morning.
MRS. MOORE had gone to the pasture with her husband to assist him in doctoring a colt that had received a bad cut on a wire fence. As MR. MOORE was working with the animal, it suddenly kicked, the colt's hoof striking MRS. MOORE in the left side. MR. MOORE summoned help and she was taken to the house and a physician called. The physician found that terrible internal injuries had resulted and that chances were greatly against her recovery. Everything possible was done but of no avail and she passed away. She never regained consciousness. Her sons, WALTER and PERRY, who reside in Colorado, came with all haste upon being notified of their mother's condition. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
