G.P. BISHOP, father of MRS. J.C. JOHNSON, of near Leon, was found dead in bed at his home in Humeston last Saturday morning, his wife making the discovery. He was eighty-two years of age at the time of his eath and had been in poor health for some time.

MR. BISHOP had been in as good health as usual apparently the previous night. About two o'clock he was up and then returned to his bed. About six o'clock MRS. BISHOP got up and prepared breakfast leaving MR. BISHOP, as she supposed, asleep. After preparing breakfast she went to call him and found that he was dead. His death is a sad blow to the family and MRS. JOHNSON and the other members have the sincere sympathy of Leon people in their sudden and sad bereavement.
