SAMUEL ADAMS MILLSAP was born in Lawrence County, Ind., August 30, l839, and departed this life June l6, l9l6, aged 76 years and l6 days.

When about fourteen years of age he moved with his parents to Decatur County, Iowa where the remainder of his life was spent with the exception of two years spent in Arkansas. In l870 he united with the M.E. Church and has lived a faithful, Christian life.

September 3rd, l884, he was united in marriage with SADIE SHIELDS. To this union were born two sons, CLYDE S. and HORACE H. MILLSAP, both of whom were with him during his last illness. He had been afflicted l7 months but bore his suffering patiently.

Besides his wife and two sons, he leaves five brothers, four sisters, one grandson and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held Saturday at ll a.m. at the home, conducted by the Pastor of the M.E. Church, of Decatur; interment in the Woodmansee Cemetery.
