STARK, WILSON, LAMB, BOHALL

Eli W. Stark was born in Jackson county, Indiana, Feb. 6, 1840, being at the time of his death 73 years, 11 months and 21 days of age. He came with his parents to Iowa at a very early date, the family landing in Des Moines the day Iowa was declared a state. He enlisted in the U. S. service as a private in Co. B., 18th Iowa Infantry, serving until the close of the war. He was the last of a family of four children, one brother, Samuel H., and two sisters, Polly and Analiza, having preceded him in death. He was married to Sara F. Wilson, in 1876, to whom there were born two sons, John H. and Bert W., also one girl Lena Lamb Bohall, whom they adopted when she was 6 months old, and whom they raised to womanhood. She was a daughter of the sister, Analiza. The other two children together with his wife still survive. Funeral services were held from the home Jan. 29th, conducted by Rev. P. H. Hawk and the remains interred in the Westerville cemetery.
