CELIA NARCISSA SHULAR was born on June 20,
l902, at Des Moines, Iowa,
and passed away on March l4, l9l6, at Leon,
Iowa, after a long illness.
CELIA united with the Presbyterian Church of
Leon on April 4, l9l5. She
finished the 8th grade of the Leon Schools,
but the serious condition of
her health prevented her entering the high
school with her class.

She was very cheerful and patient in her
suffering and always
considerate of those about her. The funeral
was held at her home on
March l6, l9l6, at 2 o'clock. Six of her
classmates acted as pall
bearers and five of her friends sang songs
that she had loved and had
often sung herself.
