M.C. GROGAN, who resides on the Glenn Detrick
place northeast of Leon,
died suddenly at Garden Grove last Saturday
evening where he had driven
in company with his son, LEO, on a business
trip.

MR. GROGAN and son had driven from their home
to Garden Grove in a buggy
and while there MR. GROGAN decided to have
one of the horses shod so he
took the animal to a blacksmith shop. It was
then near six o'clock and
the blacksmith left the shop to get something
to eat, leaving MR. GROGAN
sitting in the shop in a chair. When he
returned a short time later, he
found MR. GROGAN dead, still in the chair
where he had left him.
Physicians were called but nothing could be
done. Death had resulted
some time before MR. GROGAN's condition was
learned by the blacksmith.

The remains were taken to the home later on
and the funeral was held
from the Catholic Church southeast of Leon,
Wednesday morning. The
bereaved family and relatives have the
heartfelt sympathy of all in
their sad bereavement.
