MRS. J.H. STANLEY, of Leon, passed away at
the home of her daughter,
MRS. TOM WEST, at Coon Rapids, Tuesday
morning after a few hours
illness. MR. STANLEY had been there with
MRS. STANLEY visiting with
their daughter and family. MR. STANLEY left
Coon Rapids Monday morning
for Leon, MRS. STANLEY remaining there, being
in her usual health at the
time of his departure. Tuesday morning their
daughter, MRS. FRED SMITH,
of near Pleasanton, received a message
stating that her mother was very
ill and a message a few hours later stating
that MRS. STANLEY was dead.
MR. STANLEY, who was enroute to Leon, did not
know of his wife's death
until he stepped from the train at this
station where he found a message
awaiting him. The shock was great and the
grief stricken ones have the
deep sympathy of all.

MR. STANLEY, accompanied by his daughter,
MRS. SMITH, departed Tuesday
afternoon for Coon Rapids. They will return
with the body today and the
funeral will be held Friday morning at l0
o'clock at the Christian
Church.
