Death of R. R. Peters
Reuben R. Peters, only son of Reuben and Sarah (Jones) Peters, was born at Pleasanton, Iowa, November 22, 1863, and departed this life at his home 15 miles west of Cheyenne, Wyoming, March 11, 1928, being at the time of his death 64 years, 3 months and 18 days of age. On December 1, 1889, he was united in marriage to Maggie Finch at Princeton, Mo. To this union were born two girls and four boys: Mrs. Esther grandstaff, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Mrs. Anna Bunch, Leon, Iowa; Henry A., Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; Orin A., Clay A., and Fay, all of Cheyenne, Wyoming, who were at his bedside in his last illness.

He confessed faith in Christ at the age of 19 years and joined the M.E. church which faith he continued to live to the end. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, six children, fifteen grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lucy O'Shea, Fairfax, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Mae Finch, Alton, Illinois; besides a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at Finkbiners Undertaking Parlors which was attended by a large crowd. Interment in Lake View cemetery.
