Decatur County Journal
Thursday, July 29, l9l5

CLAUDE BRYSON, who formerly resided in
Decatur County southeast of Leon,
was killed in a mine at Ft. Morgan, Colorado,
Tuesday morning of this
week by falling rock. JOHNNIE GROGAN, of
near Leon, received a message
Tuesday afternoon, stating that the young man
met death that morning.
The message carried no further information
other than the fact that he
had been killed in a mine by falling rock.

It is not known whether or not the body will
be brought here for
interment. He has two sisters, MISSES EDITH
and HELEN BRYSON, who are
buried in this county and friends here think
it possible that he may be
laid at rest beside the two sisters. MR.
BRYSON left this county about
eight years ago with his parents, MR. and
MRS. A.W. BRYSON, for Ft.
Morgan, Colorado, where they have since made
their home. He is about
twenty-two or twenty-three years old and was
a young man of fine
qualities and popular with a wide circle of
friends. The BRYSON family
resided in Decatur County for fifteen or
sixteen years before going to
Colorado.
