Palm Springs, CaliforniaWilla Jane Scruggs, age 72 of Palm Desert passed away at Eisenhower Medical Center from heart and kidney failure, surrounded by family on April 17th, 2015.
She was born February 23rd 1943 in Culver City, Ca., the eldest daughter of the late Willard Tuttle and Hazel Tuttle. Her sister Jo Ellen (Jody) Tuttle preceded her in death.
Willa graduated from Culver City High School in 1960 and was voted most likely to succeed. In 1963 she won the title "Miss Culver City".
While raising her two children Kelly and Cannon she achieved a successful real estate career. She enjoyed spending time at the Sunset Room where she met the love of her life, Don Scruggs. Her talent for knitting was remarkable and she made many beautiful items that she gave to family and friends. Her laugh was unique and infectious and could always make others laugh with her. Willa was an active member of the Ironwood Country Club since 1984. She loved to golf and spend time with friends.
Willa is survived by her husband of 33 years Don Scruggs of Palm Desert, daughter Kelly (Tony) Renaud; son Canon (Cheyanne) Squires; grandchildren; Dylan Lowell, Kyle Purcell, Trinity and Zane Squires; grand dog Franky Spanky. Step children; Ted Scruggs, Donna Schuler, Dan Scruggs. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
The family is holding private Life Celebration at the Ironwood country on May 9th.
