Willard R. Larsen, 60, of Alda [Nebraska] died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at his home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Russ Hall and Dale De Raad officiating. Burial will be in the Wood River Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Larsen was born Dec. 29, 1938, at Rapid City, S.D., to Alvin and Carrie (Street) Larsen. He grew up and attended school in Farmingdale, S.D.

He later moved to North Dakota where he married Laurel McLean in 1958. He worked in ranching in the western and central United States, and was self employed in the trucking business from 1968 until his death. He moved his family and business to Nebraska in 1969.

Survivors include his wife, Laurel of Alda; one daughter, Denise Larsen of Alda; one son, Verlen of Wood River; two grandchildren; his mother, Carrie of Rapid City, S.D.; four brothers, Walter of Central City, Rollo of Farmingdale, S.D., William of Marysville, Calif., and Lesley of Bismarck, N.D.; three sisters, DeElda Kersave of Blackhawk, S.D., Viola Stanec of Martin, S.D., and Neela Napoli of Anaheim, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Larsen; one brother, Verlyn; and one sister, Wilma Winston.
