Beverly Joyce Draper was born October 3, 1930, in Murray, Iowa to Charles and Charlotte (Ackerly) Draper and passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Beverly loved spending time with family. Being one of 12 children, there was always plenty to keep up with and in later years, many nieces and nephews to look forward to hearing from. The only thing she may have loved more than family, was the Kansas City Royals. Always a loyal fan, she rarely missed watching or listening to a game.

Beverly spent most of her life in Princeton, Missouri, a place she loved to call home. She was proud to have held a career in accounting at Grand River Mutual Telephone Company, retiring after 42 years of service. She enjoyed reminiscing about her days at the office and the fun that she had there.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Charlotte Draper; and her brothers and sisters: Doris Shepherd, Ruby Honn, Keith Draper, Kenneth Draper, Basil Draper, Galen Draper, Vere Draper, Jim Draper, Shirley Collins, Barbara Thuesen and Louise O’Neall.

Survivors include nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Alan Mangum officiating. All wishing to attend are invited to meet at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon at 2:30 p.m. to follow to the cemetery.
