KERRVILLE — Memorial services for Carder N. McNay, 90, of Kerrville, who died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in a Kerrville hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, officiated by the Rev. Stockton Williams, followed by a reception at Riverhill Country Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, 320 St. Peter’s St., Kerrville, Texas or the Kerrville Habitat for Humanity.

Carder N. McNay, age 90 of Kerrville, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 at a Kerrville hospital after a brief illness. He was born Nov. 29, 1915 in Garden Grove, Iowa to Dr. Leo and Sarah McNay. After attending Lincoln Flying School in Nebraska in 1935, he continued training at Dallas Aviation School before flying professionally for Braniff Airways for the next 37 years.

He and his wife, DeLories Connable McNay, lived in Dallas until her death in 1985. Shortly thereafter, Carder moved to Kerrville where he furthered his talents in painting and woodworking and enjoyed croquet, pool, poker and chess with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his gentle and gracious nature.
