She was united in marriage to Elick D. Housh on November 1, 1882, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1931.

To this union were born four children, all of whom are living: Laura M. Alldredge, Winnie J. Painter of Leon, Lula E. Caster and Charles A. Housh of Des Moines. Mrs. Housh confessed Christ as her redeemer in 1910, becoming a member of the Leon Christian church and contributed liberally of her time and means to the support of its activities until of failing health she was unable to attend.

She was a devoted wife and a good mother and nieghbor and her home was always open to all.

The funeral services were conducted at the Stewart Funeral Home Wednesday, October 21 at 2:30 o'clock p.m. by Rev. G.A. Civey of the Leon Christian Church. Two appropriate hymns were sung by Mrs. Helen Maughan accompanied by Miss Tressa Tullis. The body was laid to rest in the Leon cemetery beside that of her husband.
