T.L. BECK, the son of JOHN and MARTHA BECK,
was born March l, l829, in
Washington County, Pennsylvania. He is of a
family of six boys and two
girls. When a small boy he moved with his
parents to Zanesville, Ohio,
with his parents he came to Iowa in l85l, and
entered land in Decatur
Township, where he resided all his life.
He was married to LUCIA ROWELL, June 22,
l856, daughter of WM. and
HESTER ROWELL. To this union were born five
children, one dying in
infancy. Four survive, C.C. BECK, MRS.
MARGARET KYLE, of this county;
T.O. BECK, Big Piney, Wyoming, and D.C. BECK,
Casper, Wyoming.

When yet a young man he became converted and
joined the Methodist
Church. He was also a Mason, being a Mason
for forty-five years, six
months and twelve days.

He was a great sufferer, being helpless for
over twelve years and during
all this time was in good spirits and mind.

He died February l2, l9l5, aged eighty-five
years, eleven months and
twelve days.
