Another Old Settler Gone

John Hale, one of the old settlers of
Decatur County, died at the county farm last
Friday night at the age of 80 years. For
many years Mr. Hale lived on a farm northeast
of Leon, but for the last 5 years, he has
made his home at the county farm. He was
laid to rest in the cemetary on the county
farm. He has no immediate relatives here,
one son, Jacob Hale, having left this
vicinity a year or so ago.
