W.H. HALL, formerly in charge of the old
Talbott coal yard in this city,
died Friday, October 23, at the home of his
son, C.B. HALL, in
Galveston, Tex. The funeral and burial
occurred on the following
Sunday. MR. HALL had many friends in Leon
who will be sorry to learn of
his death. MR. HALL was born in Washington
County, Ohio, June 30,
l840. He was prominent in the affairs of
Osceola and Clarke County,
serving as a member of the State Legislature
from Clarke County from
l88l to l883. In l88l he was elected State
Trustee for the institution
for the feeble minded at Glenwood, serving
for a number of years. He
was a member of the Masonic Order.
