A.W. HARRELL, a former Leon resident, mourns
the death of his wife which
occurred at their present home near Brockway,
Ore., September l4. MR.
HARRELL will be remembered by Leon people.
He attended school here and
later entered the service of the Burlington
Railroad. He moved some
years ago to Colorado where he was employed
by the Santa Fe. He finally
became trainmaster on one of the western
divisions of that road recently
resigning to enter the fruit business in
Oregon. The following account
of the death of MRS. HARRELL is taken from
the Roseburg, Ore., Evening
News:

MRS. LANORA M. HARRELL, wife of A.W. HARRELL,
passed away at the family
home near Brockway on September l4, l9l4,
after a lingering illness of
some months duration. She leaves to mourn
her departure, her husband,
A.W. HARRELL, two sons, EARL and OREN, and
two daughters RUTH and SELMA,
all children living at home; besides these
she leaves her father and
mother, E.V. HALL and wife, who live in
Colorado, four sisters and two
brothers living in Colorado and Missouri.

The funeral services were held from the
undertaking parlors this
afternoon, conducted by Rev. Matthews, of
Brockway, and were attended by
a large number of the friends of the bereaved
family and members of the
local lodge of Eastern Star, the departed
having been a member of this
order in the east. The pall bearers were
selected from among the members
of the commandery of Knight Templars with
which order MR. HARRELL is
affilliated in his former home. The
interment was in the Masonic
Cemetery.

Both MR. HARRELL and his family have many
sincere friends since their
arrival here in this county who deeply
sympathize with them in their
grief.
