fever.

The deceased was the eldest son of AARON B.

age of l0 years he removed with his parents
and brothers to the home
farm in Center Township, near Leon, where
they lived until the fall of
l868, when the family located in Leon, his
father building the brick
building now occupied by the Exchange
National Bank. JOHN entered the
Leon Public Schools and graduated with the
second class finishing the
high school. He continued actively in the

on the farm his father
gave him and followed the pursuit of
agriculture until his death.

who with four sons, LORNE, JAMIE, ROY and

He united with the Christian Church at Leon

continued for a number of years a faithful
member, but became in a
measure an agnostic, but had spoken to the
writer many times of the
Creator of All, and hoped some time to be
with "Him in whom we move and
have our being." May God be merciful to him
and blot our errors.

Funeral services were held at the home on
Wednesday, September 9,
conducted by F.A. Garber, interment being in
the family lot in the Leon
Cemetery.
