Leon, Decatur County, IowaCLIFFORD ROMAINE MCCLURE, son of LOUIS and BLANCHE (KNODLE) MCCLURE, was born Feb. 23, 1914 at Carl, Iowa and died May 15, 1983 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 69 years.
ROMAINE has been a resident of Decatur County since 1919. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
On May 23, 1936 he and VERNICE COFFIN were married in Rockport, Missouri. To this union two sons were born.
Surviving ROMAINE are his widow, VERNICE; two sons: TERRY of Des Moines, Iowa and JACK ok Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers: CHARLES of Richland, Iowa and MAX of Montrose, Co.; grandchildren: KRISTIN and TIM; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers; DAROLD, GALE, MONTE, and WADE.
