BERTHA MCDOUGAL, was born August 20, 1909 in Decatur County, Iowa and died Feb. 15, 1985 at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa, age 75. BERTHA was one of 15 children born to JAMES C. and SAMATHA JANE (DOOLEY) JENNINGS.

As a young girl she joined the Baptist Church at Centerville, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to WILLIAM ROY MCDOUGAL on May 17, 1930. To this union 7 children were born. BERTHA and ROY lived on a farm until they moved to Leon in 1970.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons who died in infancy; 3 brothers, HENRY, CHARLES EDWARD and CHARLES EARL, and one sister, ALMA.

Surviving is her husband ROY; five children: INEZ and husband, LLOYD SMITH of Grinnell, Iowa; KENNETH and wife ETHEL MCDOUGAL, Boston, Ma; MILDRED and husband, MORRIS J. ALBAUGH, Leon; LORETTA JOAN and husband BOB ROBISON, St. Charles, Iowa; GERALD and wife MARY MCDOUGAL, Des Moines, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren 10 brothers and sisters: VIOLA, RHODA, MARY, NAOMI, RUTH, MARGIE EFFIE, ROSA, ELIJA and BUZZ; other relatives and friends.
