February 16, 1895 - October 20, 1978

CLEM F. LANE, son of TRAVIS C. and ELVIRA (BEAVERS) LANE, was born Feb. 16, 1895 in Decatur County, Woodland Township, State of Iowa, and died Oct. 20, 1978 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital at Denison, Iowa, age 83 years, 8 months and 4 days.

CLEM was united in marriage to JETTIE OPHELIA VAUGHN Sept. 30, 1914. To this union three daughters were born: VIOLA BAGLEY, Phoenix, Ariz.; IZOLA PETTY, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and EVA BEAVERS, Phoenix, Ariz. His wife JETTIE died May 13, 1920.

On Nov. 9, 1921, CLEM was united in marriage to COY HOLLARS. To this union four children were born: CLAYTON LANE, Leon; NEVA GRIMES, Audubon, Iowa; MILES LANE, Denver, Colo.; and JUANITA GILBERT, Denison, Iowa. His wife, COY died July 19, 1964.

Survivors are two sons, five daughters; four sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; two sisters, NELLE KONKLIN, Bettendorf, Iowa, and VERDA SKINNER, Nampa, Idaho; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; two sisters; and two brothers.

CLEM spent his life in Decatur County, 34 years at farming and 25 years in road construction business.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
