Emory Orison Lovett departed this life March 30, 1952, at the Decatur County Hospital. He and his wife, Mary King Lovett, were married in 1887 by Dr. Charles Blanchard, after which they held two pastorates. Because of ill health, Mr. Lovett left the ministry and had been farming in Garden Grove, Iowa, for the past 52 years. He was survived by his wife and five children.

[Interment was made at Garden Grove Cemetery.]
