WILLIAM HOWARD JOHNSON, second child of JOSEPH M. and LULU M. JENNINGS JOHNSON was born June 30, 1908 in Decatur County, Iowa and died July 28, 1983 at Craigmont Care Center in Des Moines, Iowa, age 73.

He was marriage to OPAL B. VANDERPOOL, April 16, 1932 and to this union two children were born, ODA JOE and SARA JOAN.

HOWARD was a member of Leon Christian Church, Iowa Order of Odd Fellows No. 84, Equal Rights Rebekah Lodge No. 419, and Grand River Lodge A. F. A. M. No. 78.

He was preceded in death by his wife, OPAL: son ODA JOE; his parents, and brother RAYMOND.

Survivors are his daughter, JOAN and husband LEO BANNER of Des Moines and three grandchildren: LEIGH ANN, JIM and JUDY BANNER, Des Moines; sister ETHEL HORNEY, Leon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
