Rachelle L. Jacobs of Leon, formerly of Des Moines, passed away on February 18, 2012. A Memorial Celebration of Rachelle's life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Union Park Christian Church, 832 Grandview Avenue, Des Moines, IA.

Rachelle was born in Des Moines on June 12, 1970 to Gerry (deceased) and Sally Lawson. Rachelle graduated from Leon High School and became a paramedical examiner. Rachelle was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of four which she suffered with every day of her life.

Survivors include her husband David Jacobs and daughters Makenna and Gentry, son Jamen and his father Kirk Andrews, mother Sally Lawson, a very special aunt and uncle Ramona and James Watson, half-brother Shawn Lawson, half-sister Shannon Vanderflute and many other special relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to The American Diabetes Association .
