Mrs. ELLA JENKINS DIES

Mrs. ELLA JENKINS, 73, of Leon well known and loved by many for her kind deeds, died suddenly at her home in east Leon early December 8. Mrs. JENKINS was a former school teacher. She is survived by her husband, CLEM JENKINS, of this city.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. O. GENTZLER were held at the Stewart Funeral Home at 2:00 p. m. December 10. Burial was made in the Leon cemetery.

Obituary.

Mrs. ELLA CORETHA JENKINS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. HENRY ONEY, was born February 12, 1871, in Eden township, near Leon, Iowa and passed away at her home in Leon December 8, 1948, at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 26 days.

On May 8, 1898, she was married to CLEM JENKINS, son of Mr. and Mrs. WILLIAM JENKINS. She was a member of the Leon Christian church, and a charter member of the Daughter of the American Revolution. She is survived by her husband, to sisters, Mrs. ELIZABETH HINDS, Leon, Iowa, and Mrs. LOU FESLER, San Antonio, Texas, and eleven nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
