WILLIAM GLEN IVINS, son of BENJAMIN ARTHUR and CARRIE HESTON IVINS, was born Jan. 15, 1902 in High Point Township, Decatur County, Iowa, and died June 13, 1978 at his home in Leon, Iowa, age 76.

He attended Reynolds Grade School and Garden Grove High School. GLEN was united in marriage to RETA POTTER Nov. 5, 1924. To this union were born two children: LOIS JEAN and DONALD FREDRICK.

He spent most of his life farming in Decatur County except the last 15 years on the road construction work. In growing to manhood he spent many hours on the river bank with mother and brothers as well as helping with the farming.

Survivors are widow RETA; daughter LOIS JEAN and husband WARREN HANTHORN; DONALD and wife MOLLY; grandchildren, IVAN and LYNNETTE; JUDY and husband ANTHONY; CINDY and Husband DOUG; RONDA and husband MICHAEL; RANDY and wife KATHY; two great grandchildren, MATHEW MILLS and CHRISTOHER JONES; two step-grandchildren, REBECCA HOSKINS and JEFF HASH; six brothers and their wives, RALPH and MYRTLE, Wall, S. D,; BEN and VERA, Corydon, Iowa; HESTON and BEATRICE, Akeley, Minn,; DEAN and GWEN, Ottumwa, Iowa; MAX and BERNICE, Des Moines, Iowa; DEWEY and HELEN, Leon, Iowa; sister, NELLIE MYERS and husband HENRY, sister-in-law ELEANOR IVINS, Peshastin, Wash.; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; two sisters, DOLLY and BETTY; and one brother CLINT.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery.]
