ERMA MAY IMHOFF was born to LEE BEVINS and GRACE MERLE CAMPBELL HORNEY Sept. 16, 1922 in Eden Township of Decatur County, Iowa and died of kidney failure at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, March 24, 1983, age 60 years and 6 months.

She grew up on a farm 6 miles south of Leon and lived on a farm all her life. She graduated from Leon High School in 1940. After graduation she attended Normal Training in Creston and taught country schools in Decatur County for 4 years.

She was baptized into the Lord Dec. 1, 1936 and remained active in His service.

On Sept. 25, 1945 ERMA married CHARLES LAWRENCE IMHOFF, son of GEORGE and EDITH IMHOFF. To this union were born LAWRENCE WALDO, LAUREL, LEOLA DIANE and LINDA CORRINNE.

Preceding her in death was infant son, LAUREL.

Survivors include her husband, CHARLES; parents, LEE and GRACE HORNEY, sister, HELEN HORNEY, all of Leon; brother, JAMES HORNEY, Van Wert; children: LAWRENCE IMHOFF, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; LEOLA BOYCE, Altoona, Iowa; and LINDA MILLER, Decatur, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 2 sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; other relatives and friends.
